About Andrea
Andrea Rugg is a commercial photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota specializing in architectural photography - interiors, exteriors, landscape, gardens and product. With over 25 years in the photo industry and a background in the fine arts, Andrea brings a high level of creativity and an ability to capture the beauty in the most functional and utilitarian forms.
Andrea attributes her passion for travel and experiencing other cultures to being born in Germany, where her father worked for the U.S. State Department. In addition to her studies in photography and the arts, she also played music - including a stint playing guitar in a band with her long-time flame and partner, Mark. When she’s not shooting, Andrea loves walking Boris, the oversized German shepherd, playing soccer, tennis, golf, and bicycling (a means of transportation as well as a sport). She also has some great stories about crossing the country on her old motorcycle.
She lives and works in the Minneapolis area and works on location around the country. She has photographed numerous award-winning designs and has been published both nationally and internationally in books, magazines, and advertising.
